The four students joining this paid internship program in Israel are Thach Au Dong, Vo Thanh Huy, Nguyen Thanh Phat, and Nguyen Van Dang. They are currently in their second year of studying agriculture at the School of Agriculture and Aquaculture, Tra Vinh University.

According to the International Education Institute (IEI) under Tra Vinh University, these students will undergo internships at large farms specializing in agriculture, veterinary science, and food technology for a duration of 11 months, from August 2023 to June 2024. Participation in this program not only boosts students’ confidence but also provides them with practical experience and exposure to cutting-edge agricultural production environments worldwide. It’s a unique opportunity for them to complement their academic knowledge while earning extra income.

The benefits for students participating in this program include paid internships, accommodation, and meals provided at the farms where they work. Students will gain international exposure, and practical experience, and will receive training certificates upon program completion. Tra Vinh University also recognizes their participation as equivalent to completing two Co-op course credits as part of their academic program.

To adequately prepare students for this program, the International Education Institute conducts English language training, and soft skills workshops, and collaborates in the selection process to ensure eligible students participate.

Tra Vinh University has been conducting this paid internship program in Israel since 2007. Each year, the university collaborates to select and send students to Israel for internships, and to date, over 80 students have completed internships and returned to Vietnam.

This program is an annual opportunity for students in their second year and beyond, studying agriculture, veterinary science, and food technology, with no limitations on the number of participants.
