(TVU) – The 20th Get Together traditional music program with the theme “The Harmonie We” took place on the night of December 14 at Tra Vinh University, attracting the participation of a large number of lecturers, students, and international volunteers.

Associate Professor, Ph.D. Diep Thanh Tung, Vice Rector of Tra Vinh University; Leader of the School of Southern Khmer Languages, Culture, Arts and Humanities, sponsors, lecturers, volunteers, alumni, and nearly 1,000 students participated and cheered at the program as well as watched directly via Tra Vinh University Fanpage.

Get Together music night with the theme “The Harmonie We” showed the harmonious relationship between the nations, lecturers, and students and collective respect, bringing solidarity and unity.

Associate Professor. Dr. Diep Thanh Tung said: “Over the past 19 years, Get Together has become a traditional event of the Faculty of Foreign Languages. This activity creates connection, exchange, and learning between students and lecturers, volunteers, and experts of the School. Besides, this event is also an opportunity for students of the University to demonstrate their talents through singing performances, modern dances, traditional dances, fashion, and acting performances in multiple languages.”

Associate Professor. Dr. Diep Thanh Tung, Vice Rector of the School, thanked the sponsors for their cooperation and scholarships to the students. He also sent his Christmas greetings to all staff, lecturers, students, volunteers, and international experts volunteering and working at the University.

In the bustling atmosphere of the Christmas season, Get Together always brings a vibrant and elaborate music night with diverse performances, such as singing, dancing, plays, and fashion shows, given by students, lecturers, and volunteers of the Department of Performance.

All performances are in English, Korean, and Chinese, creating a unique and culturally diverse feature. It is an opportunity for students to exchange cultures, demonstrating the dynamism, integration, and talent of students of Tra Vinh University. The program features diverse costume performances using recycled raw materials, spreading the message “Youth of Tra Vinh University join hands to protect the environment.”

Nguyen Chi Thien, student of Chinese Language University, class of 2021, shared: “Get Together is a meaningful program for the Faculty of Foreign Languages students. I can learn and interact with former and new students and classmates through the program. The event creates a close, open, and friendly environment to help students relax after studying.”

In the program, the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam – Tra Vinh branch awarded 30 scholarships, each worth 5 million VND; the Trade Union No.3 awarded three scholarships, each worth 2 million VND; and Calligrapher O Dan Phat awarded 15 gifts, each worth 2 million VND, to students of Tra Vinh University.11 16
