(SFL-TVU) – 30 seniors of English Studies are currently taking a course titled "World Literature" under the guidance of Ms. Huynh Thi Thu Thuy, a lecturer at the School of Foreign Languages, Tra Vinh University. The course runs from March 19th to May 9th and forms an integral part of the English Studies program.

Students participate in group work, presentations, and create poetry and art inspired by renowned global literary masterpieces. The "World Literature" course aims to improve students' critical reading skills, enhance their understanding of literary analysis techniques, delve into literary history and author biographies, and gain insights into literary movements. These skills enhance their overall linguistic and literary knowledge.

Ms. Thu Thuy explains that the "World Literature" course is one of three courses available to the final-year students majoring in English Studies. The course not only fosters critical thinking and creativity but also improves writing skills and the ability to analyze and apply literary language. This is accomplished by engaging students in both group activities and individual tasks, ultimately strengthening their ability to appreciate humanistic values and fostering their appreciation for beauty and goodness.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen Tran, a senior of English Studies in the class of 2020 shares that "World Literature" course is not just an academic requirement, but it also provides an opportunity to explore global literature in-depth. This opportunity helps in enhancing creative thinking and understanding of global culture, which in turn enriches students’ knowledge and world view.
